Look Through the Compound Eyes of an Insect

The compound eyes of an insect are made up of repeating units, each of which functions as a separate visual receptor.  The result of their response is a mosaic image, similar to the dots making up halftone illustrations in a newspaper.  Try these glasses on to see what an insect sees!
